[Visit] Haven's Kitchen

While walking along 17th street between 6th and 7th ave, I walked past a really cute storefront and made a mental note to stop in at some point. The place is Haven's Kitchen and it's incredibly cute and a perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea with a sweet treat. It's a shop/cafe, cooking school and private event space all in one building.

The tea they serve is from Bellocq and I got a cup of The Queens Guard, a black Ceylon tea blend, which came in a tea filter bag. At the counter, they have a few baked goods in glass domes. I got the Burnt Sugar Espresso shortbread. It was really good, and went well with the full bodied black tea.

Note: The bathrooms are super, super nice with custom Haven's Kitchen hand towels.

Great pictures! Glad you got to go over there and do a little photo shoot! I hope you will take a nice picture of me one day!

Thanks, Camille! Next time we go to the park, I'll bring my camera!
