Harney & Sons Soho Tea Lounge

I had a craving for Harney & Sons’ delicious scones so I headed to Soho for a tea break. Walking into the store, I headed to the back to the tea lounge.

After I was seated, I quickly looked over the menu and ordered the following:

Paris soda and Earl Grey ice cream tea float ($5.50). The flavors were a bit weak and it tasted watered down. I’ll have to try the ginger beer & matcha ice cream tea float next time since I was trying to decide between the two.

Lapsang Souchong gravlax on rice crackers with green tea cream cheese canapés ($8). I had this during the tea class at Harney & Sons in July. Very good.

Then finally the scones! Ham and gruyere scones with Dijon mustard ($7). Excellent. The cheddar and chive scones ($7) are equally good.

Note: Service is VERY slow, although friendly.

I was just thinking "Hmm, I'd love a lavender or earl grey tea frappucno." I had no idea Harney had these exotic flavours of iced drink. I think I'm going to treat myself to it this week!
