A killer combination: tea and ice cream. I used Tower of London, a black tea with fruity notes from Harney & Sons which was a perfect match to the vanilla ice cream.

ICE CREAM TEA FLOAT

Makes 5 cups

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup water
1/8 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons of black tea (I used Tower of London.)
5 scoops of vanilla ice cream
5 cups seltzer water (I used my SodaStream.)

DIRECTIONS
1. Bring sugar & water to a boil. Simmer until sugar dissolves. Take off heat & steep tea for 5 minutes. Filter tea.
2. Put 2 tablespoons of tea into a cup.
3. Pour seltzer water halfway up the cup. (This prevents overflowing once the ice cream is added.)
4. Add a scoop of ice cream and top with more seltzer water as needed. Enjoy!

  1. Hi Georgia, Tower of London should go well with strawberry ice cream. Or, just check the teas you have now to see if they have any berry notes, since the ice cream flavor will just enhance it.
