Muddled Mint & Lime Iced Tea

Technically not a tea, but a tisane, this herbal non-caffeinated beverage is perfect for those days when it’s just too hot to boil water. So refreshing and super easy to make.

If you don’t have a muddler or pestle, use the back of a spoon to mash the mint with the lime and sugar.

Makes 1 cup

8-12 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime, sliced
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 cup ice
3/4 cup water

1. Put sugar, lime, and mint in a cup. Use muddler to mash until mint is bruised, but not falling apart.
2. Add ice.
3. Pour water to fill cup and stir. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Enjoy!

This is a great looking drink. It looks refreshing and wholly natural, something that I crave in a drink, especially with all the over-chemically drinks that one sees in the stores these days. This would be the perfect drink to sip on during a law school lecture. Thanks for sharing!
