Paris // Backstage at Lie Sang Bong Spring 2014 Fashion Week Show
On the day I arrived, I checked into my hotel, took a quick nap, and got ready to head out to Lie Sang Bong’s Paris Fashion Week show. Thanks to my friend Nana, I not only got to attend, but got backstage access before the show started. The show was held inside the École des Beaux-Arts building on the left bank, right across from the Louvre.
Designer Lie Sang Bong, backstage, before the show. There was a flurry of activity with photographers and journalists swarming around the models and Mr. Lie.
Clothing racks with photos of models matched up to the look they would walk down.
A closer look at one of the makeup tables set up at multiple stations.
Touching up hair and makeup.
The model walk lineup. 36 looks in total.
When the show was closer to the start time, I left backstage and took a spot near the photographers. They go to more shows than anyone else during Fashion Week. Right when the music started, to indicate the start of the show, it was the photographers that shushed the audience.
The final walk of the Spring 2014 Read-to-Wear collection. Check out all the looks on NY Mag’s The Cut. There were so many pieces and complete looks I wanted! Everything was so fresh and clean. Isn’t this a great dress for afternoon tea?
At the end, a quick bow and a dash.
And here’s a look at the gorgeous space after the show was over.
Big thanks to Nana, for the invite and for letting me hang out backstage!
