Iced Black Sesame Latte

This decadent and aromatic iced black sesame latte is ready in minutes. The nutty, creamy drink is surprisingly easy to make at home with just 5 ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon black sesame paste
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup milk (any kind)

Instructions

  • Combine black sesame paste with hot water and brown sugar.
    Gently mix, then whisk ingredients together using a handheld milk frother.
  • Pour black sesame mixture into a cup.
  • Add ice and top with milk.
    Stir before drinking.

Notes

  • Black sesame paste is made with finely ground black sesame, which means the ground sesame won't dissolve entirely into a liquid. It's natural to see black spots in the iced latte.
  • You can use white sugar if you don't have brown sugar.
  • Whole milk adds creaminess to this drink, but plant-based milks like oat milk also work.
  • Since this recipe includes brown sugar, be sure to buy sugar-free black sesame paste. Otherwise the drink may taste too sweet.
  • To mix the black sesame paste with water, make sure to use hot water since it'll be harder to combine with cold water.
  • Add tapioca balls to make turn this into a Black Sesame Bubble Tea.
