- 1 tablespoon black sesame paste
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ¼ cup hot water
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
- Black sesame paste is made with finely ground black sesame, which means the ground sesame won't dissolve entirely into a liquid. It's natural to see black spots in the iced latte.
- You can use white sugar if you don't have brown sugar.
- Whole milk adds creaminess to this drink, but plant-based milks like oat milk also work.
- Since this recipe includes brown sugar, be sure to buy sugar-free black sesame paste. Otherwise the drink may taste too sweet.
- To mix the black sesame paste with water, make sure to use hot water since it'll be harder to combine with cold water.
- Add tapioca balls to make turn this into a Black Sesame Bubble Tea.
