Ingredients

Earl Grey Iced Tea

Cream Froth

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Boil water.
Boil water on the stovetop or in an electric kettle (set it to 208°F if yours has a temperature setting). You only need 1/4 cup so it shouldn't take long to boil. Use filtered water if possible.
  • Combine tea sachet and hot water in a glass container.
  • Cover container and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Discard tea sachet and add cold water.
To the 1/4 cup of hot tea, add in 1/2 cup of cold water to cool the tea down.
  • Lightly whip heavy cream, sugar, and salt.
In a tall cup, whip together heavy cream, sugar, salt using a handheld milk frother. It takes about a minute to thicken. You want it to be thickened but still pourable.
  • Pour tea into a cup with ice.
Leave room at the top for the cream froth.
  • Pour cream froth on top.
With the ice and the fluffy cream froth, the cream topping will sit nicely on top, creating a layered effect. Stir before drinking.
