Matcha Waffles

Light and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these matcha waffles are delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients

DRY INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon matcha
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

WET INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • In a bowl, sift and mix dry ingredients. In another bowl, mix wet ingredients and add to dry mix.
  • Ladle waffle mix onto a waffle maker. (We didn't fill the waffle maker to the outer edges since we wanted the pretty matcha green to show.)
  • Cook until golden brown. and we cooked 2.5 minutes on one side, then flipped for another 2.5 minutes for a total cooking time of 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot and toasty with maple syrup and salted cultured butter.
