- ¾ cup water
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- Recipe makes 1 cup (16 tablespoons) of syrup. Use 1-2 tablespoons of syrup for each cup to sweeten and flavor.
- There's no need to let the ingredients come to a boil. Simmering on low heat to let the sugar dissolve, then steeping is enough to make the simple syrup.
- The longer the cinnamon sticks steep in the saucepan with the sugar and water, the stronger the cinnamon taste will be.
