Ingredients

Instructions

  • Put ginger tea sachets and ¼ cup of hot water into a teapot.
Boil water on the stovetop or use an electric kettle with a temperature setting. Set water temperature to 175°F.
  • Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags.
Ginger tea can be steeped for longer, which will give it a stronger ginger flavor.
  • Pour ¾ cup pineapple juice into the teapot.
Stir the mixture until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour iced tea into a cup with ice.

Notes

  • Using simmered water is recommended so that the tea can cool down more quickly than using boiling hot water.
  • Since ginger tea is an herbal tea, it won't get bitter if you steep it for longer.
  • Prepare the pineapple ginger iced tea in advance and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Add honey or honey syrup for an additional layer of sweetness. Start with a teaspoon and adjust the sweetness from there.
