Ingredients

Instructions

  • Pour the pineapple juice into a cocktail shaker, then add matcha.
Make sure to add the pineapple juice in first since matcha can clump easily.
  • Cover and shake.
Shake at least 10 times to fully combine.
  • Pour the iced pineapple matcha into a cup with ice.

Notes

  • Fresh, canned, or bottled pineapple juice can be used, but make sure to use one where there is minimal to no added sugar. Look for 100% pineapple juice.
  • If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, any jar with a tight-fitting lid will work as long as it’s big enough to hold the matcha and pineapple juice.
  • This recipe uses a sweetened matcha powder, but you can swap it out with regular unsweetened matcha if you prefer less sweetness.
  • For recipes like this where matcha is mixed with other ingredients aside from water, look to spend between $20-$35 per tin.
  • If using unsweetened matcha, use 2 teaspoons of matcha and 2 tablespoons of simple syrup.
  • To make your drink frothier, shake the drink in the cocktail shaker 30 times.
