- If you don’t have a way to make espresso, use instant coffee. You’ll need ¼ cup of water and 1 tablespoon of instant coffee to replace the 2 shots of espresso.
- A homemade protein shake can be used instead of a bottled version. To make it, combine 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder with 1 ½ cups (about 12 ounces) of milk in a blender or shaker bottle.
- Bring in your own bottled chocolate protein shake to Starbucks and order 2 espresso shots with ice in a venti cup. Once you get the cup, you can add the chocolate protein shake.
