Ingredients

Instructions

  • Put white granulated sugar, turbinado sugar, and water in a saucepan and simmer.
    Stir until sugar completely dissolves.
¼ cup white granulated sugar, ½ cup turbinado sugar, ½ cup water
  • Take off heat and cool.
  • Pour syrup into an airtight container.
Syrup will keep for 3 weeks in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • To sweeten a drink with liquid cane sugar syrup, add 1-2 tablespoons into an 8 ounce drink.
  • Liquid cane sugar can be used the same way as simple syrup. Add it to hot and cold drinks as a sweetener.
  • There's no need to boil the syrup and boiling will make the syrup thicker. Just let it come to a simmer and as soon as the sugar dissolves, you can turn off the heat. The sugar just needs to be fully dissolved in the water.
