- 1 ½ tablespoons oolong tea (or 3 tea bags/sachets)
- 1 peach sliced
- 2 slices lime
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 3 cups water cold or room temperature
In a pitcher, combine all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.Stir to make sure the tea leaves touch the water. Use a strainer to remove all solids. The tea, fruits, and rosemary should not be left in the drink more than 24 hours. Serve with or without ice.The tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- A little lime goes a long way. If you want to make sure the cold brew is not at all bitter, take the rind off the lime slice.
- Thoroughly wash all fruit to remove dirt and bacteria. To clean the lime, rinse it under cold running water and rub it with your hands. Don’t use dish soap.
- I always use filtered water to make tea since better water means a better tasting tea.
- Make sure you take it out all solids after 24 hours. Leaving any solids in the cold brew tea can accelerate bacterial growth.
