Ingredients

Instructions

  • Put milk, simple syrup, and matcha into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously 50 times.
Put ingredients into the cocktail shaker as listed, with matcha last. To get less matcha clumps, sift matcha into the cocktail shaker using a mesh strainer.
1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons simple syrup, 1 ½ teaspoons matcha
  • Pour matcha latte into a cup with ice.
    1 cup ice

Notes

  • Starbucks makes the drink with 2% milk but you can use any milk you like.
  • No cocktail shaker? Use a jar with a tight lid.
  • Matcha is a finely green tea. You don't need to use the most expensive matcha for this drink. Look to spend around $20-$35.
  • Matcha will create tiny little bits of green floating in the drink but if you want less clumps, use a mesh strainer to sift the matcha powder into the cocktail shaker before shaking.
