Pour lemonade and water into a cocktail shaker.Put lemonade and water first since matcha can easily clump if added in first. Add matcha and ice.Cover with the lid and shake at least 10 times. Pour into a cup.Top drink with more ice if needed.
- To get the lemonade to taste as close to the one used at Starbucks, use Simply Lemonade, which can be found in the refrigerated section of the supermarket.
- This recipe uses a sweetened matcha powder to match the flavor of the drink at Starbucks, but you can swap it out with 1 ½ teaspoons of regular unsweetened matcha if you prefer a matcha lemonade that's less sweet.
- To make the drink sweeter when using unsweetened matcha, add 1 tablespoon of simple syrup. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can also use a jar with a tight-fitting lid as long as it can fit at least 16 ounces of liquid with space for shaking. Other options include a wide-mouth water bottle or shaker bottle.
