Ingredients

Instructions

  • Put tea bags and ¾ cup of hot water into a teapot.
Boil water on the stovetop or use an electric kettle with a temperature setting. Set water temperature to 175°F.
  • Cover and steep for 3 minutes. Discard tea bags.
Steeping for longer will make the tea bitter.
  • Let tea cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Pour cooled down tea into a cup with ice. Stir in strawberry syrup.

Notes

  • Any green tea will work in this recipe.
  • Homemade or store-bought strawberry syrup can be used.
  • Don’t steep green tea for any longer than 3 minutes or it’ll become astringent and bitter.
  • Iced tea can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
