Add this peach syrup to iced tea to instantly turn it into a deliciously refreshing peach iced tea. Just 3 ingredients is all that’s needed to flavor your drinks with pure peach flavor.

Fresh Peach Syrup
Nothing tastes like summer like fresh peaches. I love adding this perfectly sweet peach syrup to any drink to add peach flavor.
- My recipe is made with fresh peaches. This peach syrup is a flavored simple syrup made with fresh peaches, sugar, and water.
- It’s made on the stovetop. Ingredients are heated in a saucepan to bring the flavors together.
- Use it to sweeten and flavor drinks. Always use simple syrup in iced teas since it stirs easily into a cold drink, unlike sugar which will just sink down to the bottom of the cup.
- This peach syrup recipe uses less sugar. My doesn’t use as much sugar as regular simple syrup since peaches are naturally sweet but it tastes just as good!
Note from Jee

I’ve tried making this peach syrup using fresh peaches and frozen, and the winner by far, is fresh, ripe peaches. The frozen ones are ok if that’s what you have, but go with fresh peaches if possible.
Aside from adding it to iced tea to make peach iced tea, I like to add peach syrup to sparkling water to make a sparkling peach drink. I also like adding peach syrup into lemonade to make a delicious peach lemonade.

Ingredient Notes

- Peaches: Fresh peaches are easier to work with and are more flavorful than frozen but you can use frozen if that’s what you have.
- Sugar: Any kind of sugar can be used but I like regular white sugar since it’s quicker to dissolve.
- Water: Use filtered water for a better quality syrup.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Blend diced peaches and water in a blender. Peaches are diced so it blends quickly and evenly to make peach puree.

Step 2: Put blended peaches and sugar into a saucepan.

Step 3: Heat on the stovetop.

Step 4: Place a mesh strainer on top of a container and pour the sweetened peach puree into the strainer. You may need to use a spoon to move the puree around the mesh strainer if it gets clogged.
Expert Tips
- If you don’t want to blend the peaches, chop them into small pieces and mash them in the saucepan. Cook on the stovetop 10 minutes longer. I puree the peaches to shorten the cooking time on the stove.
- The recipe makes a cup of peach syrup. Use 4 tablespoons of syrup to flavor and sweeten a cup of iced tea.
- This simple syrup will keep for 1 week when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
