White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino (also called White Mocha Frappuccino) is a caffeinated frozen coffee drink made in a blender. It’s a white chocolate flavored coffee drink that’s topped off with whipped cream.
All Starbucks Frappuccinos are made with a Frappuccino base syrup that turns an icy drink into one that’s smooth and creamy. This copycat recipe is made with a homemade Frappuccino base syrup.
Note from Jee

What’s the difference between White Mocha Frappuccino and White Crème Frappuccino?
White Mocha Frappuccino is caffeinated and made with coffee while the White Mocha Crème Frappuccino doesn’t have any coffee and is caffeine-free.
The word “Crème” added to a Frappuccino means there’s no coffee in it.

Ingredient Notes

- Homemade Frappuccino base syrup: You can’t make a proper Frappuccino without the Frappuccino base, which is sugar, water, and xanthan gum (thickener). Make a batch of this first.
- White chocolate sauce: The white chocolate flavor comes from this sauce. If you don’t have white chocolate sauce, replace it with sweetened condensed milk.
- Instant coffee: Instead of espresso or brewed coffee, Starbucks adds Frappuccino Roast, which is an instant coffee blend of Italian Roast and Signature Espresso. You can also use any instant coffee you have.
- Milk: Whole milk is used to make Starbucks Frappuccinos, but you can use any milk you like. Whole milk will make your drink creamier though.
- Heavy cream: To make the whipped cream topping.
- Vanilla syrup: Starbucks uses vanilla syrup to flavor and sweeten the whipped cream. Use store-bought or homemade vanilla syrup.
- Ice: If possible, make ice using filtered water.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Whisk heavy cream and vanilla syrup using a handheld milk frother to make whipped cream. Set aside.
The longer you whisk the heavy cream, the stiffer it’ll get. It should take about 30-50 seconds to get medium peaks.

Step 2: Blend milk, white chocolate sauce, instant coffee, homemade Frappuccino base syrup, and ice until smooth. Start the blender on low, then turn it up high.

Step 3: Pour in Frappuccino into a cup.

Step 4: Top drink with whipped cream.
Expert Tips
- Liquids go into the blender first and ice should go in last for an efficient blend.
- Make the homemade Frappuccino base syrup first. You can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
- Homemade Frappuccino base syrup is made with xanthan gum, a thickener that creates that smooth Frappuccino texture. If you don’t want to use the base syrup, you can use simple syrup instead to match the sweetness, but the texture won’t be the same.
- Instead of vanilla syrup, you can flavor the whipped cream using white chocolate sauce. Replace the vanilla syrup in the recipe with an equal amount of white chocolate sauce.
