Make your own electrolyte drinks at home using a simple formula that’s tasty and refreshing. I’ve got 3 to get you started!

DIY Electrolyte Drinks
I saw that people were making their own Gatorades at home using some basic ingredients, so I thought, I bet it would be even better with cold brew tea! I did some research and I’ve nailed down a formula to make it great each and every time.
My Electrolyte Drink Formula
Cold Brew Tea in Coconut Water + Juice/Sugar + Citrus + Salt
Tea is cold brewed in coconut water (electrolyte), any kind of juice (to help absorb sodium and water faster), citrus (potassium), and salt (electrolyte)
I created 3 drinks using this formula and each one was a hit!
Recipe Notes
Any kind of tea can be used.
I used hibiscus and butterfly pea flower teas to make bright and colorful. They’re both caffeine-free. You can also use caffeinated teas like black tea or Earl Grey.
Any kind of juice can be used.
I use juice instead of sugar or honey to add more flavor to the drink. The clearer the juice, the more of the color of the tea will come through.
Any kind of citrus can be used.
Fresh lemon, orange, or lime juice will all work. I used a citrus juicer to squeeze the lemon.
Add just a pinch of salt.
A pinch, or 1/4 teaspoon of salt is all you need.
