Note from Jee

Coffee, Coke, and ice cream together in one drink? YES. It’s delicious!

I took a classic Coke float and made it even better by adding cold brew coffee. After testing and tasting the recipe, I found that the trick is to get the right balance of coffee and Coke.

Try it and see if you love it as much as I do!

Ingredient Notes

Ingredients to make cold brew Coke float.
  • Cold brew coffee: Use store-bought or homemade cold brew coffee.
  • Coke: I especially love Mexican Coke in glass bottles since it’s made with real cane sugar instead of corn syrup.
  • Vanilla ice cream: You can use ice cream or gelato.

Step 4: Slowly pour in Coke. Serve with a straw and the rest of the Coke bottle so the cup can be refilled as the ice cream melts and the foam settles.

Expert Tips

  • Serve in an ice cold cup by putting the cup into the freezer for 5-10 minutes if you want the drink to be extra nice and cold without adding ice. Skip it if you just want to make the drink right away.
  • To use instant coffee instead of cold brew coffee, replace it with 2 teaspoons of instant coffee with ¼ cup of water.
  • To use hot brewed coffee from a coffee machine, brew a double-strength cup of coffee then cool it down in the refrigerator.
