Cold Brew Tea

I was surprised at how good this was. The combination of super sweet cotton candy grapes, a little tartness from the lemon, earthy flavor from the chamomile, and mellow white peony tea creates such an elegant and sophisticated blend of flavors.

Note from Jee

I tested this a couple of times and swapped out chamomile with basil, and they were both excellent. I also tested it with dragonwell green tea and it was also very good.

One idea is to serve this elegant cold brew tea in a wine glass. Since the drink is already chilled, you don’t need to add ice.

Tea + 1 Fruit + 1 Citrus + 1 Herb

Using my cold brew tea formula, I’m using white peony tea as my tea, cotton candy grapes as my fruit, lemon as my citrus, and chamomile tea as my herb.

Recipe Notes

Get the sweetest grapes.
I’m using cotton candy grapes which are incredibly sweet. It’s almost like eating pure sugar. The sweetness balances out the earthy flavor from chamomile.

Use filtered water.
I always use filtered water to make any drink. Better water means better tasting tea.

Wash the fruit.
To remove dirt and bacteria, wash the fruit under cool running water. Rub them with your hands and don’t use any soap.

Don’t leave the teas and fruits in the cold brew tea more than 24 hours.
Make sure to strain out the solids from the liquid since leaving solids in the cold brew tea can accelerate bacterial growth. The cold brewed tea can be stored in the refrigerator, in an airtight container for 3 more days.
