A refreshing and vibrant drink made by cold brewing black tea with fresh raspberries, tart lime, and fresh basil. It’s the ultimate iced drink for warm summer days.

Raspberry Lime Basil Cold Brew Tea
This cold brewed tea is a little sweet, a little tart, and absolutely refreshing. Cold brewing tea slowly extracts flavors so there aren’t any bitter notes. Each sip is smooth and mellow. This is why I consider cold brewed tea the best iced tea.
Tea + 1 Fruit + 1 Citrus + 1 Herb
This is my cold brew tea formula and for this recipe, I used English breakfast as my tea, raspberry as my fruit, lime as my citrus, and basil as my herb.
Recipe Notes
Use any black tea.
I always have English breakfast tea so that’s what I used but you can use any black tea you have, including Lipton tea bags.
You don’t need to use expensive tea.
Because cold brewing brings out the best in any kind of tea, you can finally use that tea you have in the back of the cupboard to make this drink. You can use the cheapest tea and it’ll still taste fantastic.
Peel the lime.
The rind and pith of the lime can get bitter when cold brewed so I remove it. It also makes it easier to muddle without the peel.
Wash the fruit and basil.
Thoroughly wash the raspberries and basil to remove dirt and bacteria.
Drink cold brew tea within 4 days.
Fruit-infused cold brew is best when consumed in 4 days. Beyond that, there’s increased risk of bacterial growth since there aren’t any preservatives in the drink. From the day you put the cold brew tea and fruit into the refrigerator to the day you have your last sip, it should be 4 days total.
Strain out solids after 24 hours.
Make sure to strain out the tea, raspberries, lime, and basil after 24 hours. Leaving any solids in the cold brew tea can speed up bacterial growth.
