Aside from coffee, Starbucks has a good selection of tea drinks from hot tea lattes to frappuccinos but knowing which ones are better than others can be tricky. Here are the most popular tea drinks from the entire tea menu.

Grande is the standard size for all beverages.

21. Jade Citrus Mint Tea

A grande sized cup comes with 2 Jade Citrus Mint tea sachets. Jade Citrus Mint is a green tea blended with mint, lemon verbena, and lemongrass.

If you want a little extra sweetness, try adding a pump of peppermint!

20. Royal English Breakfast Tea Latte

A basic tea latte made with black tea (again with 2 tea sachets) and steamed milk.

The grande size comes with 4 pumps of liquid cane sugar which you can switch out with any of their other syrups like toffee nut or vanilla.

19. Mint Majesty

Mint and lemon verbena make up this caffeine-free herbal tea. There’s no sugar added but feel free to add a pump of peppermint to lightly sweeten.

18. London Fog Tea Latte

A London Fog is an Earl Grey tea latte with a touch of vanilla. Starbucks does theirs with a hint of lavender.

Order yours with soy milk, to make it delicious, since Starbucks’ soy milk is vanilla flavored. Don’t change out the vanilla syrup since that’s an essential part of a London Fog.

17. Iced Royal English Breakfast Tea Latte

Royal English Breakfast Tea, liquid cane sugar, milk, and ice make up this milk tea.

Switch out the 4 pumps of liquid cane sugar with vanilla for a new twist.

16. Matcha Lemonade

Matcha and lemonade are shaken with ice to create this sweet, refreshing, caffeinated drink.

Ask for a grande lemonade shaken with ice and 3 scoops of matcha.

15. Honey Citrus Mint Tea

Originally on the Starbucks secret menu as Medicine Ball Tea, it got so popular, this customer created drink made it onto the official menu with a new name.

Jade Citrus Mint and Peach Tranquility tea sachets are steeped in hot water and steamed lemonade. A little honey adds more sweetness.

Ask for a pump of peppermint syrup for a minty twist.

14. Matcha Green Tea Latte

Matcha and steamed milk make this green colored hot drink. Note that Starbucks’ matcha is made with sugar and matcha so it’s heavily sweetened.

13. Iced Black Tea Lemonade

This is Starbucks’ version of an Arnold Palmer. Black tea, lemonade, and ice are shaken to create this classic summer drink.

12. Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade

A blend of hibiscus, lemongrass, and apple make up this caffeine-free iced drink.

Shaken with lemonade, ice, and sweetened with 4 pumps of liquid cane sugar, ask for blackberry and strawberry inclusions (dried fruit) for a fruity twist.

11. Matcha Green Tea Creme Frappuccino

Sweetened matcha, 3 pumps of classic syrup, milk, and ice make up this frozen drink.

Ask for it with less pumps of syrup since it’s a fairly sweet drink due to the pre-sweetened matcha.

10. Raspberry Passion Tango Tea Lemonade

This is a customized Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade made with 2 pumps of liquid cane sugar and 2 pumps of raspberry syrup.

The regular Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade is made with 4 pumps liquid cane sugar.

9. Raspberry Black Tea Lemonade

Iced Black Tea Lemonade is customized with 2 pumps of liquid cane sugar and 2 pumps of raspberry syrup.

8. Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade

Iced green tea, lemonade, peach flavored fruit juice blend, 4 pumps of liquid cane sugar are shaken together to make this drink.

7. Guava Black Iced Tea Lemonade

Black tea, lemonade, guava flavored fruit juice blend, and 4 pumps of liquid cane sugar are shaken together with ice.

It’s even better with a little extra guava so ask your barista to add some more.

6. Dirty Chai Latte

A secret menu item that’s fairly popular, a Dirty Chai Latte is a Chai Latte with a shot or two of espresso.

If you’d like it extra creamy, ask for it breve, which means your drink will be made with steamed half & half instead of milk.

5. Teavana Mango Black Tea (Bottled)

Mango, black tea, and hint of lime are the flavors that make up this bottled tea drink.

Ask for a venti cup of ice on the side and pour the bottle into it. Getting the bottle is about 30 cents cheaper.

4. Teavana Sparkling Blood Orange Mango White Tea (Bottled)

White tea, orange peel, and mango flavors are in this bubbly cold tea drink.

Same as with the bottled tea above, ask for a venti cup of ice on the side and pour the sparkling drink into it.

3. Vanilla Chai Latte

To get this customized drink, order a Chai Latte and ask for pumps of vanilla.

Like the matcha, chai is already sweetened so get 2 pumps of vanilla for a grande drink if you don’t want it overly sweet. I hear it’s also great with coconutmilk. (Yes, one word.)

2. Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte

Pumpkin spice with the flavors of chai in one delicious drink. Try adding a shot of espresso for an extra caffeine boost.

1. Chai Latte

The most popular tea drink at Starbucks is a Chai Latte! To make the drink a little creamier, ask for it without any added water.

Questions You May Have

Can I get these drinks made in other sizes?

Yup. For hot tea drinks, the cup sizes are short, tall, grande, and venti. For iced tea drinks, the cup sizes available are tall, grande, venti, and trenta although not all iced drinks can be made in the trenta size. See all Starbucks drink sizes.

What are some simple ways I can customize my tea drink?

Switch out the syrup that comes with the drink with another one. So instead of liquid cane sugar, get vanilla or toffee nut. Another option is to add fruit juice like guava or peach to flavor your tea. Or add in some inclusions (dried fruit) like strawberries for a colorful touch.

Are there 2 tea sachets in each cup?

No, a tea drink in a short (the smallest cup size at 8 ounces) or tall (12 ounces) has only 1 tea bag/sachet. Grande and venti drinks are made with 2 tea bags/sachets.

What kind of tea do they use?

All teas at Starbucks are made with Teavana tea.

Do they use a tea bag or a tea sachet?

They call their Teavana tea sachets, tea bags.

  1. I’m a barista at Starbucks…the original London Fog Tea Latte was actually made with Classic Syrup.
Also, the Medicine Ball/Sick tea that was originally made was with a Mint Majesty tea sachet and Peach Tranquility, honey, half lemonade, half water. Yes, the extra pump of peppermint is good with either of the mint teas offered. The difference is Mint Majesty is herbal, therefore its caffeine free, whereas the Jade Citrus mint is a green tea that has caffeine.
